Domestically, the Rangers are the first to take the lead in the Scottish Premiership, but Macdonald takes nothing for granted.
“It’s been a very interesting season, in Scotland and in the Premier League as well, and it would be silly to say anything now after the first few games,” she said.

“I know Celtic have games in hand but Rangers are in a good position now, they play as a team. They always seem to be able to find a way to win games, which is a really positive sign.
“It would be great if they could continue like this, but everything is so unpredictable at the moment. I don’t know if it’s because of the lack of fans, the very short pre-season or something else, but everything is very unpredictable”.
